A door that leads to the enjoyment of a captivating trip over the snow-covered mountains of the Garhwal area of India opens up as winter begins to spread its white wings throughout the northern portion of India. The Deoriatal Chandrashila trek is an example of this kind of winter trip that takes place in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. A smaller but more jagged mountain, Chandrashila may be found just above the holy temple of Tungnath. It is also often referred to as ‘Moon Rock’ by the locals. The holy mountain with the snow-capped summit is cherished by the people who live in Uttarakhand since it is said to be the spot where Lord Rama meditated after he had triumphed over Ravana in an open battle. The mountain’s elevation is an astounding 3,690 metres above sea level. Because it peacefully rests atop the path leading to Chandrashila peak, Deoriatal catches all of the mountaineers on this route by complete surprise, and it is a bizarre surprise. Starting from Rishikesh, the ascent of this mountain may be completed within a span of 5 days, and the Mountaineering Institute of India has ranked the ascent as an easy level of trekking adventure. During the winter months, anyone who have a passion for mountains of any type may take part in the trekking expedition, and it has never been thought of as a summit excursion that is exclusive to expert trekkers. Before beginning this trip, you need ensure that both your mind and body are in good shape since it is possible that you could encounter severe weather conditions along the way.

ITINERARY :
You will be picked up by one of our agents as soon as you arrive at the Rishikesh Bus Stand, and they will assist you in being escorted to the traveller bus which will be waiting for you in a convenient place. And with that, you will be on your way to the village of Sari, which is a picture-perfect hamlet that is situated around 170 km away from Rishikesh. When you finally reach Sari Village, you will either check into the camps that we have already established. Rest, explore and have dinner here only. Sleep for the night here.
After you have finished having your breakfast with a view of the Himalayan Ranges standing at a remote distance from you, you will go towards Deoriatal lake which is around 3 km, and getting there might take anything from one to two hours. You will go along the trail that has a high ascent and offers a stunning view of the large mountain ranges. Once you have arrived to Deoriatal Lake, then rest, explore and have dinner here only. Sleep for the night here.
After you have finished having breakfast, you will get ready to continue your trek and will begin by making your way to Rohini Kund. You will find a collection of Himalayan Alpine meadows known as Rohini Kund in the Garhwali area of India. Here, you will be able to savour some of the most breathtaking moments of your life while being surrounded by the unspoiled natural beauty of the Garhwali region. You will have your lunch that you brought with you at Rohini Kund while admiring the artistic splendour that nature has to offer. After that, you will start getting ready to go to Baniyakund, which is a little village that is located at the point where the expansive meadows give way to the beginning of the Chopta Hill station. After you have finished eating a meal, you will set up your tents once again when you get to Baniyakund so that you may sleep there for the night.
After you have finished your breakfast, you will set off on your hiking excursion in the direction of Tungnath. The people of India hold Tungnath in very high regard, and many millennials make the journey to this holy site because of its prominent geographical position. Tungnath is the tallest Shiva temple in the world. After you have eaten lunch, you will make your way down a trail that is partially covered in snow, and then you will reach the peak of Chandrashila. Your ascent up Chandrashila Mountain will seem like something out of a dream, and the memories of it will be with you for the rest of your life. You may also get a breathtaking view of the Himalayan Ranges, including Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, Chaukhamba Peak, and many more, from the summit of this mountain. After experiencing each and every minute of this bizarre dream voyage, you will continue down the same road, but this time you will allow your body to follow a more brisk pace since the descent requires you to go more quickly. You must make your way back to the Sari Village, where you must first put up your tent before retiring for the night.
After you have finished having breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and get ready to go to Rishikesh, which is around a four to five hour drive due to the difficult Himalayan terrain that you will be travelling on. This is the last day of your trek, say goodbye to friends and mountains.

Things to Carry
- A trekking bag of minimum 20ltr capacity
- A good quality water bottle for your entire trekking journey (like- Borosil, Milton etc).
- Sleeves and waterproof gloves.
- 2 trek pants and cargo pants are suggested to keep with you. 4 pairs of warm socks, A small towel, a poncho.
- Good quality waterproof shoes above the ankle length are preferable.
- Personal Medical Kit containing all types of medicines and first aid things.
- Toothbrush and paste for your mouth hygiene
- 2-3 packs of Paper soap and 1 bottle of sanitizer
