The Kedarkantha Peak is one of the most popular places in the country for people to do snow trekking since it is surrounded by pine trees and looks very stunning when it is covered in snow. The ascent to this mountain pass in Uttarakhand, which is located 3,800 metres above sea level, presents hikers with a variety of difficultly levels as they make their way up the mountain. The Kedarkantha winter trek often begins at Sankri, which is readily accessible from Dehradun, and it leads trekkers through the pristine beauty of the area. ITINERARY :

Drive to Sankri via Mussoorie, which is 220 km away. Visit the Kempty Falls, which are located 15 km away from Mussoorie. Continue the trip in the direction of Purola, which is situated at an elevation of 1,524 metres. It is also known as the “Gate to Har ki Dun” because of its location in the midst of a dense woodland region that is home to a variety of species, most notably the endangered snow leopard. Spend the night in the rest house or the tent provided in Sankri.

Following breakfast, make your way to Juda ka Talab. The majority of the trek is spent in a beautiful wooded setting on a path that has a moderate level of difficulty. It will take between two and two and a half hours to go to Juda-ka-Talab. This is where tents will be set up, and overnight stays will take place here.

 After breakfast, you will begin your hike to the KedarKantha Base Camp. Can see breathtaking vistas of snow-capped mountains first thing in the morning. After you’ve arrived at your location, take in the wide-open snowy landscape surrounded by trees. Be sure to take in the sights of the peaks of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Kalanag. Tents will be used as sleeping for the night.

From the base camp, begin the trek to Kedarkantha Peak, and continue until you reach your destination. It takes between four and five hours to go to Kedarkantha. Incredible panoramas of the Yumnotri and Gangotri ranges, the Kinner Kailash range, and other mountain ranges in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh. Turn around and go back to the Juda Ka Talab. Tents will be used as sleeping for the night.

The 5th and last day of the incredible trek through Kedarkantha is now behind you. Following breakfast, make your way back to Sankri and then to Dehradun. Say goodbye to nature and new friends, also promise to come back again soon.
